For servicemembers and veterans, the transition to higher education can often be daunting and present challenges different than those faced during service. USC is proud to host the Warrior Scholar Project (WSP), a program that introduces enlisted servicemembers and veterans to the rigors and opportunities of university life and encourages them to apply with confidence to top-tier universities. USC is proudly entering its fifth year of partnership with WSP. Over the course of a nine-day summer program, students develop their writing, reading comprehension, and study skills, while attending lectures given by USC faculty volunteers and participating in other programming. USC covers the cost of the program for all students.

Not only was USC the first west coast partner, but now USC is the first university to hold a two-week program featuring a Liberal Arts & Business curriculum. This program launched in 2019 with approximately 15-18 scholars every year since.
